Undrafted Brandon Paul signs with Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a new wing in former Illinois guard Brandon Paul. BP3 got a call from the T’Wolves Thursday night right after the draft. Paul went undrafted despite being invited to the NBA Combine in Chicago. The Timberwolves signed him to their summer league squad. He will head to Minnesota Timberwolves headquarters next week and then head to NBA Summer League in Las Vegas from July 12 to July 22.

“It’s a great opportunity for me,” he told the Chicago Tribune on Friday. “It will be exciting. I’m looking forward to a chance to show my capabilities. I just want to go out there with something to prove.”

The Gurnee native worked out for 16 NBA teams, including twice with the Chicago Bulls.
