The national game on Fox Sports this weekend is the Green Bay Packers versus the Dallas Cowboys. With quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ status for Sunday still undecided, the Green Bay Packers march into Texas to take on the Dallas Cowboys who could further strengthen their position in the NFC playoff race with a win Sunday. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Pam Oliver call the game this Sunday (3:25 PM CST) on FOX from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX.
The latest spread has the Green Bay Packers as an 8 point underdog. And the latest injury report lists Rodgers as doubtful. You’ve heard of the term “play-in game” during college basketball and March madness. Well this is essentially a “play-out game.” The winner does play their way into the NFC playoffs. But the loser gets to start thinking about the draft instead of the postseason. The Green Bay Packers really hurt themselves with that tie to the lowly Minnesota Vikings.
Still the Cowboys defense is horrendous. You saw them give 8 scores on 8 possessions to Josh McCown and the Chicago Bears. It was the highest rated Monday Night Football game of the season. And Tony Romo in December? Well, that’s just something that no one wants.
Brutally honest record: 75-31
Brutally honest pick Cowboys 31, Green Bay Packers 27
