It’s no secret that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the best signal caller in the division. It’s still stunning to think about just how much better he is than the other QBs, that’s what’s astounding given that
1.) the Detroit Lions Matthew Stafford made way more money than Rodgers this past year.
2.) the Chicago Bears Jay Cutler will make way more money than Aaron Rodgers this season.
I’m not even going to bring up the train wreck that is the Minnesota Vikings QB situation, because it’s not even worth the sake of comparison. Here’s one Aaron Rodgers statistic you may not be aware of and it’s a testament to his dominance.
The NFL Stats Twitter account, @NFL_Stats told us this:
“Over his 9-year career, Aaron Rodgers has only thrown one pick 6 #Packers”
This is why the Packers are always on the short list of Super Bowl contenders every season. Almost every NFL pundit considers the Pack to be one of the best teams in the NFC, year after year and it’s because of consistent quarterback play. Aaron Rodgers is like the anti- Jay Cutler. He just never throws interceptions that are returned for touchdowns (what we used to call pick-6s before text/tweet speak took over the English language)
This is a very impressive statistic, especially when you consider that Aaron Rodgers has thrown 2,955 passes in that 9 year career.
