Out of all the Tottenham Hotspur news links on the inter webs today, the new stadium footage might be of the most interest to supporters. In February, the club received the backing of the Mayor of London for the Northumberland Development Project.
Spurs are looking to rebuild their current ground into a sporting, event and entertainment district that would act as a centerpiece attraction for the London neighborhood. The stadium scheme would also increase capacity of the grounds to 61,000.
This week on the Official Tottenham Hotspur Youtube channel, Spurs TV posted the following video and synopsis:
“Take a look at our never before seen footage of the new stadium. We followed one of our crane operators up 50 metres in the air to view the latest progress.”
Love the title “don’t look down” too. Couldn’t have said it any better myself.
Here’s more on the stadium scheme at this link (artist renderings, photos, videos etc).
