It’s another international break and thus, kind of a slow time when it comes to big headlines, but there’s still a whole lot of important Tottenham Hotspur FC news items out there. Here are links to some of the more relevant United news stories currently circulating on the internet.
-According to the Daily Mirror, Chelsea have now entered the race to acquire defender Toby Alderweireld, writing that the Blues “are ready to move for the contract rebel centre-back regardless of whether Antonio Conte remains as manager at Stamford Bridge.”
The summer of 2015 acquisition is a very wanted man reportedly. The Daily Mail reports that the big boy rich clubs, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, are all interested in the Belgian.
-Harry Winks has withdrawn from the England Under-21s squad because of an ankle injury, reports Tottenham Blog.
-It wouldn’t be a Tottenham news links collection without something about how Harry Kane and his value in the transfer market and/or a team that’s interested in acquiring him.
–Cartilage Free Captain, the Tottenham community on the SB Nation network, excerpted and linked an article by Manu Sainz on AS.com which states that Real Madrid have given up on trying to sign Kane.
They’ve reportedly made Bayern Munich man Robert Lewandowski the priority target, and the reason why is a bit far-fetched though:
“The club felt that the Tottenham would put an exorbitant price on the English striker’s head and there were also concerns that his introverted nature could make it difficult for him to adapt to new surroundings, as has been seen before.”
Uhm, yeah, ok, then.
