It’s another international break and thus, kind of a slow time when it comes to big headlines, but there’s still a whole lot of important Tottenham Hotspur FC news items out there. Here are links to some of the more relevant Tottenham news stories currently circulating on the internet.
–Tuttosport named a set of Juventus’ top potential midfield targets this summer transfer window and Spurs’ Moussa Dembele was on the list.
He was joined by Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Liverpool’s Emre Can, Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot and Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey.
-In an interview with Sky Sports, following South Korea’s 2-1 loss at Northern Ireland in an international friendly yesterday, Tottenham forward Heung-Min Son said that he thinks his club teammate, striker Harry Kane, is the best player in the entire world.
“Harry Kane is, of course, very important for England because he’s the best player in the world,” Son proclaimed.
“This is football, so sometimes you get injuries, but as Tottenham we need to play without Harry.”
-Another Spurs star, Jan Vertonghen, labeled Kane as being among the top two strikers in the world. He didn’t say who the other player was, but you can probably guess who the other one would be.
“For me Harry is one of the top two strikers in the world because he has all the ability,” Vertonghen said, quotes via NBC Sports.
“You can have a plan against Harry and he will find something. Hopefully England and us have already qualified (by June 28) and he gets a rest.”
As for when Harry Kane might return to action, the latest hopeful target date is April 21 against Manchester United in the FA Cup semifinal. This will be Spurs final chance to win a trophy this season, and if they do claim the honor it will be the first trophy won during the Mauricio Pochettino era.
Kane has been out of action since coming off injured March 11 at Bournemouth.
