Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, if sold, would net his team a greater profit on their initial investment than any other player in the entire world. That’s the claim made by the CIES Football Observatory, which is billed as an independent study center specializing in football statistical analysis.
They released their list of the top 50 potential value add players, and Kane is number one, ahead of even Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. Kane would give the north London club a profit of £175m, according to the results of their study. Kane’s teammate, Dele Alli, is third on the list.

An Alli sale would net Spurs £139m, and thus parting ways with the duo would bring in a cool £314m! Since we’re dealing in hypotheticals- that’s about enough to potentially buy one full Neymar and half of a Philippe Coutinho.
According to the post published today by the Switzerland based institution, “the estimated values are calculated using an exclusive algorithm conceived by the CIES Football Observatory research team.”
