Tottenham Hotspur have ended their 28 year hex at Stamford Bridge, finally winning at Chelsea’s home for the first time since 1990. Spurs defeated Chelsea 3-1, getting a second half brace from Dele Alli and a first half extra time scoring strike from Christian Eriksen.
Alli actually scored both of his goals within four minutes of one another. Here’s footage of the first:

This was Alli’s 100th Premier League appearance. The 21-year-old has 35 goals and 25 assists in those 100 appearances. Before the match, Alli told Sky Sports that he is “numb” to criticism of his form, and that he believes his role is changing at Tottenham as opponents start to gear their game plans more towards him.
“There are a lot of opinions, people say a lot in the media and online, but I’m numb to it now,” said Alli. “Growing up, you have to fight every day, coming into the Premier League you have to fight for your place in the team, and same as an international.
“Every player is different [in dealing with criticism], I think it’s all about your focus, what your focus is. Some people might focus a lot on what people are saying about them, which can take the focus away from the football. It can impact you.”
“But for me, I’ve never worried too much about what people think. If you have confidence in yourself, you know yourself, better than anyone, when you have that, what other people say, automatically you are numb to it.”
–Harry Kane was surprisingly named to Spurs bench today, conveying his astounding powers of recovery. He even came on as a substitute in the 73′.
–Eden Hazard called this match a must win for Chelsea’s hopes of making UEFA Champions League next season, and he was definitely right. The Blues are now eight points behind Spurs for the fourth and final UCL qualification slot with only seven games remaining.
-Will Antonio Conte, who led Chelsea to the league title last season, get sacked if the Blues don’t qualify for Champions League? Only Roman Abramovich knows for sure, but Conte said before the match that he is not worried about losing his job in this scenario.
–Alvaro Morata has had a very disappointing, injury riddled season. However, he did open the scoring today, and you can see his goal below:
–Christian Eriksen scored the equalizer for Spurs, and footage of that is below:
