Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is confident that his star striker Harry Kane will be ready to face Arsenal a week from this Saturday. Both of Spurs’ Harrys, Harry Kane and Harry Winks, are not participating with England this international break. Kane has a minor hamstring problem, while Winks suffered a twisted ankle.
Another keys Spurs player, Dele Alli, won’t be on England duty either, as he has a hamstring injury.
Although he’ll sit out England’s friendlies against Brazil and Germany, following his absence from Sunday’s very narrow win over Crystal Palace, Pochettino said this past weekend that he believes Alli will be in action for the north London derby.
The Argentine maintains that Kane will be back too. Speaking at a promo event for “Brave New World,” a new book about his era at Tottenham thus far by Guillem Balague, Poch said:
“Harry Kane is OK. You can see in the last game he received a kick to his knee, but he will be available for the next game.”
Spurs have three more players who could be doubts next week once the Gunners match approaches: Hugo Lloris (groin), Michel Vorm (knee) and Toby Alderweireld (hamstring).
