Romelu Lukaku scored his first ever goal for Manchester United tonight in the 38′ of the Red Devils 2-1 win at Real Salt Lake in an international friendly. It wasn’t the cleanest first touch, but he made an excellent recovery and accomplished a sweet move that was an easy move for him inside the 18 yard box.

Ahead of tonight’s exhibition, Michael Carrick spoke with The Guardian, and the newly appointed team Captain warned Lukaku about the newly raised expectations for the 24-year-old Belgian. Tonight saw the first of what United supporters expect will be many, many goals this upcoming season. Lukaku will be expected to re-produce all of the scoring that Zlatan Ibrahimovic did and more, in order to get United back into title contention.
