Striker Romelu Lukaku returned to the Manchester United starting lineup today, as he’ll be in the first team that faces the Seagulls at Brighton & Hove Albion. Ashley Young, another player (like Lukaku) who had a very long World Cup tournament is back in the starting XI too. It’s interesting to see both him and Luke Shaw in the same starting squad.
Overall, three changes were made from the team that beat Leicester City 2-1 in the Premier League season opener, but the most intriguing is the inclusion of Anthony Martial.
Here is the full team listed out below:

Martial of course wants out of Old Trafford primarily due to his lack of regular first team football. He’ll get his chance today, so let’s see what he does with it. Paul Pogba retains the captain’s arm band and will continue to do so until Antonio Valencia recovers and returns from injury.
All in all, this group of starters makes for a fun story line if you’re a member of the media, because it includes the three players that manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly been at odds with the most (Pogba, Shaw, Martial) during his time in charge at Old Trafford.
