In selecting our predicted Manchester United starting XI that could face CSKA Moscow tomorrow night in UEFA Champions League group action, we have the advantage of knowing a few members already. United manager Jose Mourinho and central defender Victor Lindelof met the media (video at this link), and Mourinho revealed that both David de Gea and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be rested in this one, while Paul Pogba will start.
The appearance of Lindelof sends a strong signal that he’s in the first team.
United need just a point here at home to win group A, and thus they are almost certain to pass through to the knockout round. They are not officially through to the round of 16, but almost.
Without further ado, here is the MUFC starting XI prediction for this match (4-2-3-1)
Romelu Lukaku
Jesse Lingard Juan Mata Henrik Mkhitaryan
Ander Herrera Paul Pogba
Marcos Rojo Victor Lindelof Chris Smalling Matteo Darmian
Sergio Romero
Odds via BetFair: Man Utd – 2/5 Draw – 18/5 CSKA Moscow – 7/1
