Liverpool absolutely dominated the Manchester Derby but managed only a single point, with Mo Salah providing the Reds’ only goal. What a goal it was though, absolutely brilliant and beautiful, and it led to Mo Salah becoming a top ten trending term nationally on Twitter.
The Reds owned 79% of possession and a 22-3 shot advantage, but couldn’t close the deal to seal a victory. Unfortunately for Liverpool, Everton would equalize and the result was a 1-1 draw. Here’s video of the Salah scoring strike.
Here’s how some Reds supporters reacted worldwide to this goal. Both on social media, and in real time (in real life!) while watching the derby at a pub.
Tweets, then video, below:
Imagine arguing that Mo Salah isn’t the best player in this league ????? pic.twitter.com/6iTGkQxQ9H

I can't prove it for sure, but I'm pretty definite various Egyptian civilisations from the 1st century BC onwards have been waiting for Mo Salah pic.twitter.com/JOaS3EMPkF

Wayne Rooney provided the equalizer from the penalty spot, a goal set up by a play that controversial to say the least. Of course arguing whether that was a penalty or not is an entire separate article for another occasion.
Rooney was also a top trending term, have a look at his goal video below:
Liverpool have long been out of the title race, but they’re still in the midst of a very competitive race for top four. The draw moved them back into fourth.
