Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has said that his striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to action some time in the New Year. However, the larger than life personality possessing Swede has made public statements that seem to indicate he could be back ahead of that schedule.
On social media, he posted a picture of himself running on a treadmill over the weekend with the caption: ‘Tell Jose I’m coming’.

Additionally, Ibrahimovic delivered a message yesterday while visiting a Swedish automobile factory that included: “The knee is almost there. I want everybody to have patience, and when I come back, the world will know.”
Almost there? Could it be that the knee rehabilitation and convalescence is ahead of schedule? Or this just Zlatan being Zlatan, trying to draw has much attention as possible while acting as a showman? He has not played since suffering a season-ending knee ligament damage against Anderlecht on April 20 in the UEFA Europa League quarter final.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic was United’s leading scorer last season, scoring 28 goals in 46 total appearances.
