Yesterday, the agent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mino Raiola, provided an update about the health of his superstar client. You can read the full statement made by Raiola at this link, but the uber-agent made a proclamation- Ibrahimovic will be back. Reports of the Swede’s demise have been greatly exaggerated.
Today, Ibrahimovic himself released a public message conveying his determination to return from the severe ligament damage suffered in his knee.
Ibrahimovic went to Pittsburgh, PA, United States of America, to undergo knee surgery, and the procedure was very successful.
“Fixed, done and stronger. Once again thank you for the support. We will enjoy my game together soon,” Ibrahimovic said in his Instagram post.
Far and away United’s leading scorer this season, the one year deal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic concludes at the end of the season.
Where he plays football next year is truly up in the air right now. His former teammate, Bastian Schweinsteiger, thinks that Ibrahimovic should join him in MLS, and the Swede does have two lucrative offers on the table already from both Los Angeles Major League Soccer clubs.
