Zlatan Ibrahimovic came on very late in Manchester United’s 1-0 home win over Brighton & Hove Albion this past weekend. He’s continuing to play substitute minutes until he regains full match fitness again. It was a very dull match, but United were able to still eke out a victory anyway, thanks to a Brighton own goal from Lewis Dunk off of an Ashley Young deflection.
Ibrahimovic provided an entertaining moment amidst the overall tedium. The Swedish striker gave his shirt to Brighton forward Tomer Hemed, who apparently wasn’t even aware how much he actually wanted Ibrahimovic’s shirt.
That’s the beauty of Ibra, Zlatan being Zlatan and Zlatan facts though, as Hemed acknowledged on his official Instagram account.
“You don’t change shirts with Zlatan, Zlatan’s shirt changes you. #ZlatanFacts Thank you legend,” Hemed posted on his page, along with an emoji and a snap of himself holding the shirt.
Ibrahimovic and United head to Watford tonight, before taking on Arsenal in north London this weekend. Hemed and the Seagulls will host Liverpool on Saturday.
