Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now longer a member of the Manchester United, but he’s still rehabilitating with the club, and the team’s Carrington training ground. Sources have told ESPN FC there remains a possibility Ibrahimovic could sign a short-term deal with United once he is fully fit.
After his knee surgery, performed in order to repair ligament damage, he still faces another six month or so before being fully fit again. In the meantime, United are looking for a replacement striker, and Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata remains the current #1 target.
As for Zlatan, potential new destinations reside in Italy’s Serie A and America’s MLS.
Here’s what his agent, Mino Raiola told reporters:
“Many clubs are interested in Ibrahimovic, from MLS in the USA, but also in Italy would be possible Napoli? Everything is possible, but I think Napoli will not be his next club.” (quotes from Sky Sports)
AC Milan, LAFC, and LA Galaxy are the current front-runners to acquire Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
