Manchester United star Ryan Giggs, a famed member of the legendary Class of ’92, is furious about rumors suggesting that he’s had a rift with Manager David Moyes.
The Manchester Evening News first reported this. Reports had indicated that the Welshman – who is part of the coaching staff at Old Trafford – has had a breakup in his relationship with the Manchester United boss. (h/t Give Me Sport)
Ryan Giggs is in a state of semi-retirement/transition to coaching right now. He’s not old, but he’s very very old by international football player standards, and it’s been thought that this will be his final season as a player, with his coaching career beginning next year. It’s been a total nightmare of a year for United, who suffered yet another new now Sunday with the 3-0 loss to their most hated of all rivals, Liverpool.
Ryan Giggs was left out of that match. United is next in action Wednesday, versus Olympiacos in the knockout round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League. If they drop this game, their Champions League run is over.
