This weekend brought reports that Manchester United are due to hold talks with Galatasaray early next week to negotiate a deal for Marouane Fellaini. However, the big Belgian started and scored the opening goal in United’s 3-0 win over Valerenga in a preseason friendly.
After the match the Manchester United manager confirmed that was Fellaini was staying, and that reports of a deal to move the midfielder were just rubbish.
“It is easier for Galatasaray to get me than Marouane,” Mourinho said. “Marouane forget it. He’s very important for me.”
If only every single one of us could find someone who loves us as much as Mourinho loves Fellaini. Mourinho views Fellaini with a level of unconditional admiration the way Sean Hannity perceives Donald Trump.
News of a potential Fellaini departure to Istanbul, Turkey started to gain more traction and credibility as the reports of a Nemanja Matic acquisition from Chelsea continue to circulate. Once confirmed, Fellaini will then have to deal with more competition for playing time at his position.
