Heading into the clash at the Turf Moor on Saturday, there had been a lot of talk about Manchester United hoping to make this clash Alexis Sanchez’s debut in a Red Devils shirt. That’s not going to happen, as United will not acquire the Chilean in time to get him registered for this one.
However, the Sanchez deal, likely involving a Henrikh Mkhitaryan swap, is still very probable, as Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed on Thursday. When it’s finalized, the current Arsenal forward may have the biggest salary in British football history. However, the deal won’t be over the line in time for this one.
So who will actually be available for selection in this one?
Well, Ashley Young has now completed his suspension, so he will be available for selection in this one. However, we’re sticking with Luke Shaw in our prediction for this one. Shaw is a great redemption story and just a few days ago, he revealed the secret to his comeback.
Without further ado, here is our Man United starting XI prediction (4-2-3-1)
Romelu Lukaku
Anthony Martial Jesse Lingard Juan Mata
Nemanja Matic Paul Pogba
Luke Shaw Marcos Rojo Phil Jones Antonio Valencia
David de Gea
