It’s international break, and hence a slower period of news, but there’s still a ton of Manchester United storylines circulating on the internet today. Let’s check out what is going on.
We begin with news of outcast left back Luke Shaw, reversing his £100,000 Range Rover into teammate Phil Jones‘s £200,000 Bentley at the club’s Carrington training ground last month. This comes to us via the Daily Mail, who write that Shaw only passed his driving test last year.
A source told the Sun: ‘Luke’s concentration slipped and he clattered into Jones’s car. He can afford the repair bill and there’s no hard feelings. Nothing seems to be going poor Luke’s way.’
Well, Luke Shaw is very fortunate that no one was hurt and there was only minor damage to both of the extremely high end vehicles. This past week has seen more talk about the potential end of Shaw’s career at Old Trafford maybe being realized in the January transfer window.
There’s been news about Jones as well this break, as he picked up a minor injury while on England duty.
-England Manager Gareth Southgate had a lot of praise for Marcus Rashford, backing him to go on a major scoring spree soon.
He said: “A lot those appearances have been off the bench. It’s amazing really that he’s been a player who’s been able to dip under the radar as we think so much of him, not only his ability, but his mentality and his maturity.
“He’s a very exciting player, but very grounded, wants to improve all the time.
