West Ham United play host to Manchester United Thursday night at the London Stadium, giving David Moyes a chance to exact a little bit of revenge against the team that sacked him in 2013-14. Moyes didn’t even last a full season, as he inherited a Premier League title winning side, and guided them to seventh place.
The Hammers have successfully avoided relegation this season, so they can play this league fixture somewhat loose and relaxed. United have locked up second place, and with that accomplished, they can now focus on staying healthy and right for the FA Cup final 11 days from now.
United own a 65-43 advantage in the all time series with the Hammers, with the two teams having battled to 30 draws. The Red Devils are substantially favored in this one, despite the likely absence of two of their main attacking players. Of course the Hammers will be a bit depleted in attack so, so expect this contest to be a bit low scoring.
That said, let’s look at how United manager Jose Mourinho could select for this one.
