Manchester United head to Yeovil Town Friday night for a FA Cup fourth round clash, and they will do so with a pretty healthy squad. There are four Red Devils who likely won’t see action in this one. Daley Blind (muscle), Eric Bailly (ankle) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (knee) are all out while Michael Carrick is doubtful as he continues recovering from his heart issue.
Expect United manager Jose Mourinho to make several changes to his first team line-up in this one. The man celebrating his 100th game in charge at Old Trafford and 55th birthday on Friday made five squad rotations in the FA Cup third round against Derby County, so expect to see some major minutes from the youngsters.
On the flip side, Yeovil will be without Otis Khan, who begins serving a five match ban for shoving a referee. It’s a really unfortunate situation for the former United trainee, who now misses out on his dream opportunity to face his boyhood club. United versus Yeovil is a rematch from the January 4, 2015 FA Cup third round clash, which was won by United 2-0. Angel Di Maria and Ander Herrera provided the scoring that night.
MUFC Starting XI Prediction vs Derby County:
Marcus Rashford
Anthony Martial Jesse Lingard Juan Mata
Scott McTominay Ander Herrera
Luke Shaw Marcos Rojo Victor Lindelof Matteo Darmian
Sergio Romero
Of course, the big story here is Alexis Sanchez, and whether or not the Chilean makes his debut in a United shirt. Expect him to see some substitute minutes, perhaps along with Angel Gomes and Axel Tuanzebe.
