Man United Enjoy Final Day Training in Dubai (Videos, Photos)

Manchester United enjoyed their third and final day training in Dubai on Thursday, getting one last warm weather session in before they return to northwest England. It’s back to the icy grips of a Manchester winter, following a very nice and well deserved getaway for a few days.

Heavy rains greeted the team as they arrived on the first night, but the rain clouds soon passed, giving way to clear skies and warm sun during the first full day.

United had an extremely busy festive period, truly experiencing the meaning of “fixture congestion.” However, with ten days off in between matches, this marked the perfect time to jet off to the United Arab Emirates capital. Coventry City’s upset win over Stoke City in the third round of the FA Cup ensured the possibility of a Dubai trip for United, as it kept their league fixture on Monday night.

The match would have been moved up a couple days had their been a need for a FA Cup replay.

Instead United got the opportunity to escape winter for awhile.

“The players have a good sleep each night and they generally leave their rooms at half 10 or 11 in the morning,” said MUTV’s Mark Sullivan on the club’s official website.

“They then report to the restaurant where they have a dinner, and then they get on the coach at around 2pm for training. It’s a 30-minute transfer to the sports complex. Jose and his staff are already there, setting up the drills and getting things ready for the session.”
