Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata flew to Spain to attend his grandfather’s funeral yesterday, then came back to London to play in the EFL Cup Final tonight. He start for the Red Devils, who won in extremely dramatic fashion match over Southampton today 3-2.
What a fantastic example Juan Mata sets here for the children of the world who look up to him. This is a prime example of conveying commitment to both family and football, and putting family first. He’s an excellent role model.
