Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho got sent off today in the final seconds of injury time in the Red Devils’ 1-0 win over Southampton. The rule he broke was stepping outside his allotted zone on the touchline. He went a yard or so outside the technical area, and because it happened in the closing moments, and obviously therefore not covered very well on television broadcasts, many wondered what had just happened.
Here are a couple views of what Mourinho did that got him booted:

The men of Mourinho lost many of the statistical battles with the Saints today, but they won in the only stat that truly matters- the final score. The 20′ goal from Romelu Lukaku, his eighth in eight games, was enough and United were able to keep pace with Manchester City, who also won today over Crystal Palace, to stay at the top of the table.
Mourinho said this in his postgame interview:
Mourinho: “It’s three fantastic points. The same points as when we win 4-0.” [mu]
