Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho just did his weekly press conference a few hours ago ahead of the Sunday fixture versus Middlesbrough. We have full video of the session posted for you below via YouTube.
This one will go down as the “they don’t give an S” session, as Mourinho lashed out at the Premier League for not giving consideration to the teams playing in Europe.
“We played 11 matches in the last six weeks and it’s going to get worse,” Mourinho said.
“I don’t understand how we don’t have any help in relation to European football. I’ve said this for many years.
“I think they don’t give an S about the English teams in Europe. They simply don’t care. Every [other] country, they try to help, to give support to the teams in European football.”
Mourinho is very upset about how his team must play at Middlesbrough at noon Sunday, a very quick turnaround from their 1-0 Europa League victory over FC Rostov at home very late Thursday night.
Mourinho suggested that the fixture should be the last one of the weekend, preferably Monday night. Or at least late on Sunday.
It’s the second time in as many days that the United Manager has lashed out at schedule makers, as Jose Mourinho also complained about the cards he and his team have been dealt schedule wise last night following the Europa League win over FC Rostov.
Odds via Odds Checker: Man United 8/11, draw 14/5, Middlesbrough 5/1
Prediction: United 1, Middlesbrough 0
