Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho has been playing mind games/taking digs at Chelsea boss Antonio Conte here and there over the course of the past few months in advance of today’s huge clash at Stamford Bridge. It didn’t pay off though as Chelsea beat United 1-0, giving Conte the last laugh.
The frostiness between the two men continued after the match, with Mourinho looking to do the traditional post match handshake, and Conte snubbing him.
Additionally, during the pregame handshake, Antonio Conte didn’t even make eye contact with Jose Mourinho.

“Do you want me to chase him on the middle of the pitch? I shook his brother and I feel that I did my duty. I cannot go to run for him,” Conte said about the lack of a handshake.
“I have no problem with it at all.”
Mourinho on the missing handshake: “You want me to chase him to the middle of the pitch? I was there, I shook hands with his brother and assistants.”
While both men are playing down the significance of this, and pretending like they have no issue with one another, the truth is very clear. The tension and acrimony between the two bosses is just as high as it’s ever been.
Could feel the warmth in that Conte Mourinho handshake from here… #CHEMUN pic.twitter.com/LLzkbao5g0
