With all the negative energy surrounded United by their mixed form in the summer friendlies, and David Moyes ‘failure in the transfer window their win at the Liberty Stadium against Swansea Saturday was absolutely vital. David Moyes looked very relaxed even shared a few jokes in the post game press conference. There hasn’t been that many changes in the team from last year.
In the beginning it looked as though they were playing a 4-4-2 but then was eventually changed by David Moyes to a 4-2-3-1 that Ferguson played last season with Van Persie up top.
Danny Welbeck scored two goals which was pleasant to see especially since some people thought he didn’t attack the box as much as he should of last season.
Wayne Rooney made his appearance in the second half and immediately showed why Jose Mourinho wants him in his counter attacking system. Going back to the last game of the season last year against Swansea when Ferguson announced that Rooney handed in a written transfer request this situation has gone on for so long.
It’s clear that the player wants to leave.
His body language on Saturday was poor, he didn’t even go over to the United traveling support at the conclusion of the game. He shows his worth on the pitch which is most important having a hand in two of the four goals that they scored. Its understood that United don’t want to sell him especially to a rival.
United have been through this before going back to when Gabriel Henze was interested to moving to Liverpool a few years ago. If it were to happen United would have to buy three really high quality players for them to feel comfortable selling him and that would happen after the game on Monday against Monday.Powered by Sidelines Follow paulmbanks
