Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Dele Alli and Manchester United midfielder/defender Ashley Young got into an altercation today during United’s 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur. Alli and Young squared-up with one another in the first-half at Old Trafford today, with the two opponents nearly coming to blows.
Dele Alli got angered by Young’s attempts (which nearly worked) to wind him up and get him to take himself out of the game.
Watch below as Alli jaws with Young, then Romelu Lukaku shows up to back up his teammate, while Moussa Sissoko jumps in to support Alli for the visitors.

Alli later missed a golden chance to score, while Lukaku saw a shot of his own hit the post. United super sub Anthony Martial provided the only scoring in the match.
Said Spurs Manager Mauricio Pochettino speaking to media after the match about the result: “If Dele Alli had scored the question would be different. It is always about the result.”
Added United Manager Jose Mourinho as he summated the match during his postgame media opportunities: “The only team that had opportunities was us. Apart from the Dele Alli chance, we controlled them very well.”
The Red Devils extended their undefeated at home streak across all competitions to 36 on Saturday (25 wins, 11 draws). The weekend’s headliner fixture also saw a result that snapped Tottenham’s four game Premier League winning streak.
