Is David de Gea the #1 of No. 1s? Well, certainly many people, not just Manchester United supporters think so. There’s a reason he’s on the Ballon d’Or short list of nominees, and surprisingly the only United player on the list.
In another dull, drab United vs Liverpool match, this one ending in a goalless draw just like last season’s meeting at Anfield, there weren’t many highlights. However, David de Gea certainly provided one, with this early save of the year nominee.
It’s wowing supporters, Liverpool, United and neutral alike, and it’s got #DaveSaves back in full effect on social media. Take a look, and be very impressed:

The Spaniard truly “saved” United yet again, literally and figuratively, earning them a point.

De Gea truly is Man United’s MVP, of the entire post Sir Alex Ferguson era.
