Although this sounds counter-intuitive and oxymoronic, entertaining and interesting goalless draws are a real thing. However, the first 66 minutes of Manchester United versus Brighton & Hove Albion was definitely not one of those. There weren’t a ton of scoring chances, and the game didn’t start to open up a little more until the end.
It’s fitting then that the only scoring in this match came via an own goal, although the score was originally credited to United’s Ashley Young. Have a look at the footage below:

The official scoring then took the goal away from Ashley Young and instead credited the own goal to Lewis Dunk who then became the first player in history to score an own goal against both Manchester clubs in the same season.
It wasn’t very pretty, but United took all three points and that’s what matters to try and stay in the league title race. The win extended their undefeated streak at Old Trafford to 39. The Red Devils have made the Theatre of Dreams a fortress again.
