Anthony Martial is back to his 2015-16 form. That’s what we saw today in Manchester United‘s thorough 4-0 rout of Swansea City.
The Frenchman’s 84′ goal, his second in two games this season, means it’s time for Jose Mourinho to truly implement the Martial plan. Anthony Martial has proven now that he deserves a place in the first team. He was part of an attack that truly wore down the opposition, as United scored three goals in a four minute span (80′-84′). That’s what United seems be doing this year, wearing teams down, and blowing them out, via a devastating counter-attack.
They finished off Swansea City 4-0, the same exact margin by which they trounced West Ham United in the opening week.

The obvious choice for Martial’s place in the starting XI is Marcus Rashford, who didn’t show as much quality in week two as he did in week one. Maybe there is a creative solution that would allow for having both Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford in the first team, but I can’t claim the intelligence enough to know how to do that.
