Ander Herrera has been burning up the Manchester United twitterverse and blogosphere after the star midfielder did a Twitter Q&A that covered a whole lot of ground. The material covered includes a revelation of how and why the favorite music of David de Gea makes him cry.
(Herrera also took over the official ManUtd Twitter account for an hour yesterday, and it was glorious. Go here to see some of the highlights of that).
It is well known that De Gea is a huge fan of heavy metal music, and that’s much to the chagrin of two other Spaniards on the United squad. Or at least it is when Herrera, De Gea and another Spanish international, Juan Mata, carpool to training.
“Some of the music is fine, but sometimes me and Juan Mata want to cry when he drives us to training and plays heavy metal!” Herrera said during the session; which was billed as #AnderHour
Hey, if high speed tempo and quick rhythmic changes, combined with a very loud tone, wicked guitar licks and rapid fire drum work helps motivate De Gea to be the best goalkeeper in the world, then I say keep blasting that heavy metal.
