Manchester United are just like AC/DC, “back in black,” in 2017/18. The new away kit dropped this week, and as soon as it did, quite the stir was made, all across the internet. We’ve got a few photos of the new road shirt, as people were talking about the just released strip all over the interwebs the past couple days.
It’s been awhile since United have gone with a silver and black look, and that was 1992! Hey remember the ’90s!
Yes, here are some photos of Paul Pogba, David De Gea, Ander Herrera and Henrikh Mkhitaryan helping to model the new product launch. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, silver and black was where it was at!
The Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, L.A. Kings and Chicago White Sox provided the dress code for gangsta rap, the anti-establishment music of this generation.
“Straight Outta Compton” was one of 2015’s biggest hits, and with White Sox, Raiders, Kings etc. gear prevalent in that film, the ’90s nostalgia craze went up another level.
That trend is hot right now, and with it, all things silver and black.
United and Adidas made the right call going in this direction with the new away kit.
