Here we go! This is it, one of the most anticipated UEFA Champions League Final matches in recent memory, as both sides are coming off of very memorable semi-final triumphs. Liverpool, in vanquishing AS Roma, gave us the highest scoring, and “the most Liverpool” UCL tie of all time.
Real Madrid got by Bayern Munich in a clash that was certainly worthy of being a final in just about any tournament. If the Reds win, it’ll be their sixth Champions League title. If Real Madrid take home the prize, it’ll be their 13th, most of any side by a healthy margin. Let’s take a look at the fitness situation for both teams.
Liverpool will be without midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and defender Joe Gomez due to long-term injuries. The Reds will be sans Joel Matip as well.
That’s about it, as everyone else should be fit, barring any unexpected setbacks between now and kickoff.
Real Madrid have a fully fit squad, and neither team will be dealing with any suspensions in this one. There is much to look forward to with this clash, but the fact that both teams come in very healthy, and thus all the stars will be on the pitch, makes it even better.
Odds: Real Madrid 4/6, Liverpool 6/5
