As Liverpool football club supporters await the official arrival of Egyptian Winger Mohamed Salah today, there is other Reds transfer news to discuss. Young Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno is a target of Napoli, but the club have rejected a £11 million bid from the Serie A side.
According to The Telegraph: “the Merseyside club has put a £15 million price tag on the 24-year-old and is awaiting bigger offers. There has been plenty of interest in the full-back, with both Milan clubs exploring the possibility of a deal.”
Other outlets have picked up on this story too, with some quoting a higher price than £11 million but none reaching £15 million. Moreno is only a part time starter, although he showed some improvement this past season. In 2015-16, he had a very rough year with the worst lowlight likely being his dismal performance against his former team Sevilla in the UEFA Europa League title game.
It was thought by many that he was to be out the Anfield door that summer transfer window.
Perhaps this is the summer that finally sees the young Spaniard on the move, and possibly to a place where he might receive more first team football.
