Just two days until the summer window closes, so there’s a ton of Liverpool FC transfer narratives to discuss on this Tuesday. Let’s dive right in.
-Nice midfielder Jean Seri saw his move to Barcelona fall through, so now he’s name dropping teams that he wants to join. The London Evening Standard has quotes from the player which are rather overt:
“I want to sign up big European clubs, such as Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool. For example, Roma, has made several offers. I have spoken many times with Monchi and this transfer has not occurred either because of economic reasons.”
–Staying with the Evening Standard, the father of striker Divock Origi says his son should leave Anfield in order to get more playing time, with White Hart Lane, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 potential destinations.
“Divock has to leave Liverpool to get more playing time,” he told DH.be. “Tottenham is a possibility, but there is also interest from France and Germany.”
–The Mirror says that Liverpool fans are in a frenzy now that Southampton rebel Virgil van Dijk has landed at John Lennon Airport. Could that rumored £75 million deal be in the works now?
Well, we don’t think he’s there to take in the tourist sites like The Beatles Story and the three graces.

-The latest on the protracted Philippe Coutinho saga, via Bleacher Report. Paris Saint-Germain and former Barcelona forward Neymar advised Coutinho against going to Barca. “Neymar said to Coutinho in a chat that he won’t regret Liverpool’s decision to keep him away from Barcelona,” according to Estadao (h/t Sport).
