Liverpool returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Hull City. The Reds drew Chelsea 1-1 on Tuesday and remained in fourth place, one point out of second.
Liverpool should be back to full strength for Saturday’s match-up.
Simon Mignolet should get the start again on Saturday. He had a blunder on Chelsea’s goal, getting caught setting up the defense on David Luiz’s strike, but made up for it by saving Diego Costa’s penalty to secure a point for the Reds.
Nathaniel Clyne continues to battle a rib injury, but didn’t have any setbacks after playing a full 90 minutes on Tuesday. Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren will continue as the partnership in the center, with James Milner continuing to start on the left.
With Sadio Mane’s return, Adam Lallana can return to his normal spot in the midfield, were he was extremely effective for the first half of the year. Jordan Henderson will anchor the midfield, with Georginio Wijnaldum, who scored the game-tying goal against Chelsea, getting the start.
Sadio Mane came on as a substitute against Chelsea after being a late arrival from the African Cup of Nations, but after a couple of days off, he should start on the right against Hull. Firmino and Coutinho also should start with Mane, as Liverpool will look to take advantage of a team that they beat 5-1 earlier in the season.
