Liverpool head to the Olympic Stadium in London on Sunday to face West Ham.
The Reds are desperate for a win, knowing that Arsenal and Manchester United are nipping at their heels in the race for the top-4.
There may be some additional worry for Reds supporters, as a pair of Brazilians are injury concerns heading into the game. Both Roberto Firmino and Lucas Leiva have missed significant training time this week leading up to the match.
Neither injury is considered serious, more likely muscle fatigue at the end of a long season, but it is enough to keep them out of full training. Both were seen around Liverpool’s Melwood training ground, but in sneakers and not participating fully.
If one or neither are able to pass their late fitness test, Jurgen Klopp will turn to Adam Lallana and/or Daniel Sturridge, who have both been deemed fully fit leading into Sunday’s crucial match.
Two players that won’t feature are Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson. Mane spoke to reporters at Liverpool’s banquet during the week, and said his recovery from ACL surgery is going well and he expects to be ready for the start of next season.
Henderson has been out since Feb. 11 with a foot problem. Klopp hasn’t ruled out the possibility of him being available in the final two weeks, but it is very unlikely.
According to Oddschecker, Liverpool are receiving 7/10 odds for a win at West Ham. The Hammers are receiving 9/2 odds for a win, with there being 3/1 odds of a draw.
