The injuries keep on piling up for Liverpool, who will be heading down the stretch without a few of their best players. That list includes top offensive weapon Sadio Mane, who is definitely out Wednesday when the Reds welcome Bournemouth to Anfield. Manager Jurgen Klopp said Mane could be out for the rest of the season.
The Reds will be without Adam Lallana for 4-6 weeks after he suffered a thigh injury while with England for the past two fixtures.
It is a huge loss for Liverpool, as Lallana is arguably their player of the year this season and the team has struggled in his absence.
Liverpool had hoped to get the services of Jordan Henderson back for the Merseyside Derby, but he missed training at the end of the week and has been ruled out. He has been battling a heel injury for the past several weeks. Both Lallana and Henderson are in the United States rehabbing.
There is good news though surrounding Daniel Sturridge. He has been out with a hip injury, and this was after suffering from a virus. However, Jurgen Klopp expects him to return, after being out of action for close to two months.
Liverpool sits third in the table and a win on Wednesday would be valuable in the race for the top-4. The Cherries can back to stun Liverpool 4-3 earlier in the season coming back from a 3-1 deficit.
