After a two-week break, Liverpool returns to action on Monday at King Power Stadium against Leicester City on Monday. The Reds haven’t played since Feb. 11, when they defeated Spurs 2-0. During the lay-off, Jurgen Klopp took the team to La Manga in Spain.
Coming into the match with the Foxes, Liverpool should be close to full strength.
Dejan Lovren has missed the last several matches with a knee injury, but is a possibility to play on Monday and is expected back sooner than later.
Daniel Sturridge was sent home from La Manga with a virus, but is back in training and is expected to be available on the bench. Georginio Wijnaldum picked up a small knock to his calf, but it shouldn’t keep him out on Monday.
There has been no change in the concerns of Ovie Ejaria, Marko Grujic and Danny Ings. Jurgen Klopp was able to give a little more update on Ings during the week, saying that he should be able to return in next year’s pre-season. Ings suffered a knee injury for the second-straight year in training in October.
According to SkyBet, Liverpool are receiving 8/13 odds for a win. Leicester is getting 9/2 odds for a win, with there being 16/5 odds on a tie.
Predicted Score: Liverpool 2-0.
