With the six biggest clubs in the Premier League battling it out for the top four positions in the table, we should see plenty of excitement and intrigue over the final stretch of the season. Liverpool FC are one of the six clubs in the mix for the top four, and with it UEFA Champions League qualification, in the English top flight.
Hence two clubs will be odd man out and left relegated to the UEFA Europa League. Will the Reds make the cut? Or will they be in Europe’s consolation bracket, as they were in 2015-16? Before you decide whether or not to engage in some online football betting in the UK you should make yourself aware of all the ranges of odds being offered at the various sports books within the industry.
To see what kind of odds each club were getting, we tok a look at few betting websites, and here’s what we found being offering for wagers on each club currently.
We start at the top with Chelsea FC; who are practically off the boards. They’re a mortal lock for top four already, because the Premier League title race is already over. Congrats to the Blues- it’s only a matter of formality now, as they have essentially won the league. At 1/5000 odds for Chelsea, we can be like Jay-Z and say “on to the next one.”
The second best odds belong to their London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur who typically showing at a range between but 1/7 to 1/12. Then we head up north to look at Manchester City, who are consistently third on the boards.
With the Citizens, or Sky Blues as others call them, 1/5 odds seen to be the most favorable that you’ll receive, while other bookies go 1/7 or 2/13.
Then we go to another Northwest England team for the fourth and final slot. Liverpool FC, showing most often at 4/9 or 2/5. Jurgen Klopp’s men have battled a ridiculously overloaded January and a rash of injuries to get up here, and it will be a dog fight down the stretch for sure.
Commend the Reds for overcoming all the obstacles that they have had to conquer this season.
Liverpool’s arch-rivals, Manchester United, may find the more plausible path back into Europe’s big boy tourney is via winning the Europa League tournament, where they are currently alive in the round of eight.
That’s because the Red Devils check in at fifth place, with their odds commonly showing at 6/4 or 13/8.
Arsenal, with all the drama and uncertainty at the top right now, have lost four of their last six, and those two wins came only against much lower division competition in the FA Cup. The Gunners have fallen down to sixth, and they are now getting just 11/4 or 3/1 Champions League qualification chances.
Buckle up English Premier League supporters, because while the league title race is done and dusted, the fight for top four should be a fun and exciting one.
