Liverpool Football Club and Manager Jurgen Klopp are indeed a perfect marriage. Since joining the club in October of 2015, and taking over from Brendan Rodgers, Klopp has expressed sentiments conveying that this is club is indeed the right home for him. He has said, at different times over the course of the season that Anfield might or could be the last stop in his career.
In an interview today with German network Sport 1, Jurgen Klopp made comments suggesting that he could retire once his LFC tenure is over.
The German said:
“I will not have been in charge of 10 different clubs once my managerial career is over. There is a not insignificant chance I will have coached three clubs. I would say it is very unlikely I will become a club-hopper all of a sudden.”
“On the contrary, it is always quite easy for me to fully commit to what I am doing because they are often long-term projects. If I fulfill my contract with Liverpool, then there is a good chance I will have won something here. I could be in an uncomfortable situation if we do not win anything.
“People expect Liverpool to win trophies.”
Klopp, who has led the team to third place this season, has a contract which runs until 2022.
