Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp met the media a few hours ago to preview tomorrow’s match at Crystal Palace, a clash featuring two sides from the opposite ends of the Premier League table. We have video of the entire media session for you here below via YouTube.
There were a whole host of topics covered in this news conference, including: what this match means, whether or not Wednesday’s blockbuster UEFA Champions League clash versus Manchester City will be a distraction or not, the big picture analysis as Klopp will manage his 100th game tomorrow, the fitness situation and much much more.
Here’s the whole session, which runs almost 11 minutes even:
When asked which fixture had greater significance for the season, Saturday or Wednesday, Jurgen Klopp answered without hesitation:
“Crystal Palace this weekend. [City] will be very important then, but not at the moment. No balance. We play Crystal Palace with all we have, with all intensity, with all concentration.”
“For a player or manager of Liverpool, everything is at least about qualification for the Champions League.”
“Both games are about qualification for the Champions League — one is for next and one is for this year. That’s the only difference. They have the same importance, [so] no difference for us.”
