Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp met the media a couple hours ago to preview tomorrow night’s blockbuster UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash at Manchester City. We have the video embedded here for you via YouTube. Topic number one is of course the fitness of player of the year candidate and 38 goal man Mohamed Salah.
Klopp refused to confirm or deny Salah’s participation tomorrow. Go to this link for more on this.
Klopp also gave an update on Andy Robertson and Alberto Moreno’s status to Liverpool’s official website.
“With Mo, Robbo and Alberto, we have to wait a little bit but of course big hope they will be back,” the German said.
Also, midfielder Emre Can is still working his way towards return from a back injury that kept him out of Liverpool’s last two.
“That is not in the best place,” Jurgen Klopp said.
“(He is receiving) treatment and we’re still hoping it will be a little bit quicker than maybe we thought in the first moment. But we cannot say anything else.”
Captain and holding midfielder Jordan Henderson is suspended by UEFA for this contest, and with Can injured, it means Giorgino Wijnaldum moves over from the flank to the central holding role. His move to the central defensive position means he’ll be flanked by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who had a massive showing in the home leg, and James Milner.
