Huge injury news ahead of the big rivalry clash on Saturday. Liverpool will be without their top weapon from a season ago, Sadio Mane, when they host arch-rivals Manchester United at Anfield on October 14. According to an official club press release, he suffered a hamstring injury that will keep him out for up to six weeks.
Given that time table, Mane may not return until the team hosts Chelsea, in a titanic league clash on Nov 25, or the visit to Stoke City in another league fixture four days later.

The official website writes that: “Sadio Mane is facing a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury on international duty, Liverpool FC can confirm.”
“And it has now been confirmed that he picked up an injury during that fixture that could keep him out of action for up to six weeks. The sit adds that for Mane the “lay-off will commence when Manchester United visit Anfield on Saturday.”
All in all, it looks like Sadio Mane will also miss the following: league matches against Tottenham, Huddersfield, West Ham, and Southampton; plus tilts against Sevilla and Maribor in UEFA Champions League group play.
