Without a doubt, the stand out fixture this weekend in the Premier League is Liverpool FC traveling to Tottenham Hotspur. This match was originally supposed to be the first match in Spurs’ new stadium, but we learned last week that the project is once again delayed, and the opening won’t come until December, or even perhaps January.
Thus the show will go on at Wembley Stadium. This match also comes out of an international break, meaning we have extra time to get hyped for it. Both clubs won their first three Premier League matches, with Tottenham falling to Watford in their fourth.
Let’s take a look at who Jurgen Klopp might select for this one.
The Sports Bank’s Liverpool FC Starting XI Prediction
Attackers: Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah
Midfielders: Naby Keita, Georginio Wijnaldum, James Milner
Back line: Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold
Goalkeeper: Alisson
Gomez is in fine form and was part of the England side this international break. The Reds defender had missed the 2018 World Cup due to injury. His fitness and contributions are huge right now for this team who are must deal with Dejan Lovren being out for another month, at least.
