The U.S. Women’s National Team defeated South Africa, 1-0 in the final friendly before the Olympic roster is set. USWNT coach Jill Ellis will inform players tomorrow whether or not they are going to Rio.
The public announcement should be made early this week. Thus here is the last media availability that Jill Ellis had before finalizing the roster.
There were a whole host of topics covered in the media session, including Hope Solo getting her 100th shut out and 150th win, the Equal Play, Equal Pay campaign and whether or not that will be a distraction come Rio, the back-up goalkeeping derby, Crystal Dunn and much much more.
