Arsenal and Manchester United are the biggest rivals that Chelsea have for the Premier League title.
Wait, what?
Did I hear that correctly?
Yes, that’s exactly what Blues star and 2014-2015 PFA Player of the Year Eden Hazard says. Chelsea have a nine point lead right now at the top of the table over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, so who could catch and then overtake them between now and May?
“I think Arsenal and Manchester United,” CFC superstar Eden Hazard told Sky Sports’ correspondent, and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
“United had a bad first part of the season and I think for a couple of games now, they played well,” Hazard said.
“They drew against Stoke, but they have good players and the squad is very good. The manager is good, so they will be second or third.”
United are undefeated, across all competitions, since November 3rd, versus Fenerbahce in the Europa League. That’s 18 competitions (six of those are draws). United are undefeated in their last 14 league games, but seven of those are draws.
As for Arsenal, they have consistently reached the top four…well, seemingly forever, but have had trouble getting over the hump to obtain the top of the table.
The Gunners finished second, but what about Liverpool? The Reds were in second before festive period fixture congestion hit and the nightmare of January commenced. What about Spurs? Eden Hazard rather condescendingly dismissed the last team standing in the way of Leicester City reaching the league title last season.
Not to mention Manchester City, the preseason consensus league title favorites…Eden Hazard seems to have dismissed them too
